Echo charges the card or bank account your ministry has on file. You cannot edit a card that is already saved: when a card expires or is replaced, you add the new one and remove the old one. Everything below happens on one screen: Admin → Invoices.
Before you start
The Invoices tab only appears if both of these are true:
You are an admin in Echo.
Your email address is listed as a billing contact for your ministry.
If you are an admin and the Invoices tab is not in your menu, your email is not a billing contact yet. Someone at your ministry who already has the tab can add you, using the Billing Contacts steps below.
If nobody at your ministry can see the Invoices tab, ask Echo to add the first billing contact for you by contacting Echo Support at support@echoglobal.org.
Open the Invoices page
Sign in to Echo and go to Admin.
Click Invoices in the left menu. It has a credit-card icon.
The page holds your daily Twilio usage estimate, premium services you've added to your account, past invoices, billing contacts, and at the bottom the box titled Credit or debit card. That last box is where payment methods live.

Add a card
Scroll to the Credit or debit card box.
Make sure Credit / Debit Card is selected in the footer of the box, not ACH Bank Account.
Type the card number, expiry date, security code and postal code into the card field.
Click Submit.
The new card appears in the table at the top of the box, showing the brand, the last four digits and the expiry date. A card you add this way becomes the default straight away, the next invoice is charged to it, and any card that was default before is not.

If the card is refused, the reason from your bank appears in red under the card field, or in red below the form after the page reloads. Nothing is saved when that happens, so you can correct the details and submit again.
Choose which method is charged
The Default column in the table shows a Default badge on the method Echo charges, and a Set default button on each of the others.
Click Set default on the method you want charged. The page reloads and the badge moves to it.
Remove an old card
The delete X only appears on methods that are not the default. Echo does this on purpose, so a ministry cannot leave itself with no way to pay.
So the order matters when you replace a card:
Add the new card first.
Make sure the new card is the default, a card you just added already is.
Click the red X on the old card and confirm.
Removing a card detaches it from Echo's payment processor. It is not recoverable, if you remove the wrong one, you have to enter the card details again.
Pay from a US bank account instead
Echo also accepts ACH payments from a US bank account. The bank option only supports US accounts; ministries banking elsewhere pay by card.
In the footer of the Credit or debit card box, click ACH Bank Account.
Fill in the account holder's Name, choose Individual or Company, then enter the Routing number and Account number.
Click Submit.
The account is saved but not usable yet. Its row says Verification Required until you confirm two small test deposits.
Verifying the bank account
Two deposits are sent to the account automatically. They take one to two business days to show up, on a statement line whose description includes AMTS followed by the two amounts.
Back on the Invoices page, click the question-mark icon on that row.
Enter both amounts as decimals, for example
0.32and0.45, not32and45, and click the button beside them.
Echo confirms the account is verified. A verified bank account does not become the default on its own, unlike a card, click Set default on its row if you want invoices charged to it.

Change where invoices are emailed
Invoices go to the addresses in the Billing Contacts box on the same page. That list also decides who can open the Invoices page at all, so adding a person here is how you give a colleague access to billing.
To add someone, type their email into the field under the table and click Add Billing Contact.
To remove someone, click the trash icon on their row and confirm.
Echo's own staff addresses are billing contacts too, but they are managed by Echo and do not appear in this table. You cannot add or remove them here.
If something is not working
The Invoices tab is missing from my menu
You are either not an admin, or your email is not a billing contact. Both are required. Ask an admin at your ministry who can see the tab to add your address under Billing Contacts.
There is no X to delete a card
That card is the current default. Set another method as the default first, then the X appears.
Echo will not accept my micro-deposit amounts
Enter them as dollar decimals under ten dollars, 0.42, not 42. Amounts that are zero, or ten dollars and over, are refused before they reach the bank.
A payment failed
We will try one or more times to apply the payment. If it continues to fail, we will reach out to the billing contact via email requesting a review of the payment method. If payment continues to fail with no response from the billing contact, EchoGlobal access may be temporarily revoked until payment can be received.
